Get out of Vietnam and enjoy the natural beauty of Laos on this seven day trip through some of the country’s most spectacular landscapes and charming towns. Our tour will start from Vietnam and Laos border gate and takes Muang Khua where we do a trek to see the hilltribe people. From Muang Khoa, we take a boat trip along the scenic Nam Ou River and stay in peaceful village of Muang Ngoy, which has no internet or telephone lines. Here we will trek through stunning landscapes, lush jungle and small villages and visit three different villages of Lao Loum, Hmong and Khmu. We board a local boat for a short trip to Nong Khiaw, a beautiful town by the Nam Ou River. After catching a glimpse of Nongkhiaw, we travel by road to Luang Prabang. We will discover ancient monuments and temples, including the sacred monument of Wat Visoun, the temples of Wat Xieng Thong and Wat Mai, and the former Royal Palace. We will ride our bike to the Tad Sae waterfall and enjoy an elephant ride in jungle. This gives an unique experience of Laos

Greeted at Pang Hok bordergate by our guide and driven to Kuang Khua. Start trekking in Muang Khua, visit mountain scenery and hill tribe villages.

On arrival at Pang Hok border gate, you complete the immigration formality and enter Laos. You are greeted by our guide and transferred to Muang Khua, which sits at the confluence of the Nam Ou and Nam Phak Rivers. This small town was once an important stop for road and river traffic; however, the dynamic face has changed since the appearance of highway and hydropower dam. We break our journey in Muong Khua to start our trek into the remote area where many villages remain untouched from the mass tourists for centuries.The local transport takes us away from the town center, delivering to the trekking place. We blaze the local track with our local guide and walk from flat terrains to undulating mountains. The trekking is difficult at times; however some physical preparation will help you to maximize the enjoyment from this adventure. The guide prepare our pinic lunch in a peaceful place. The traditional Laos foods are simple with many organic ingredients collected from the natural wilderness, but it is still an unforgettable experience. We continue walking to Ban Dongkham village, home to two different hill tribe groups. They are Akha Lama and Tai Yuang people who are still retain their old age culture and traditions. We see how local villagers working on fields, making Lao whisky or taking care of their domestic animals. This day walking ends up with a transfer back to Muang Khua, a peaceful, tiny town by the Nam OU River.
Take local boat along Nam Ou River to Muang Ngoy. Stop to see riverside villages of Muong Samphan and Ban Kana. Arriving in Muang Ngoy, check in simple hotel and stroll around to visit Muang Ngoy Village.

Spend this day exploring Luang Prabang Town. Visit Wat Xieng Thong, Royal Palace, national Museum, Wat Mai and Wat Visoun. Walk up to Phousi hill to visit this hill top temple and catch view of Luang Prabang.

Start cycling to upstream of Nam Khan River. Along the way, visit Wat Phon Phau and Henri Mouhot Tomb. Enjoy elephant ride through lush jungle and take boat ride to visit Tadse Waterfall. Relax or visit baby elephant before cycling back to LuangPrabang.

PASSPORT & VISA
The passport must have six-months validity remaining and one blank page for entry stamp. To enter Laos, foreigners require a valid visa, except nationals of certain countries, which may visit Laos without visa for a period of time. At this time, no vaccination is required, but you should check with your doctor the health information of Laos.

Based on the current custom regulation of Laos , visitors can get free import : 200 cigarettes or 500 cigars or 250 grams of tobacco; 2 liters of alcohol or wine or 5 liters of beer; 1 item of perfume or eau de toilette; personal effects.
The foreign currency in amounts exceeding USD 2,000.- (in cash or checks) must be declared on arrival or departure.
