Spend eight days discovering the diversity of Cambodia; exploring ancient temple ruins, tranquil towns and vibrant cities, and relaxing on the country’s best beaches. From Siem Reap, we will explore the best of the magnificent Angkor temple ruins, including the stunning Angkor Wat, the ancient Khmer capital of Angkor Thom, the spectacular Royal Enclosure and the majestic Ta Prohm Temple, overtaken by the lush jungle. We will glide by boat on Tonle Sap Lake, passing floating villages as we cruise, before visiting the pink limestone Banteay Srey Temple. We will travel to Cambodia’s thriving capital, Phnom Penh, where we will tour the the Royal Palace complex, including the famous Silver Pagoda, the National Museum of Cambodia, the imposing Wat Phnom. We will remember the barbarity of the Cambodian genocide at the Tuol Sleng Museum and the ‘Killing Fields’. We will spend time relaxing, swimming and exploring the beaches at the seaside town of Sihanoukville and its spectacular surrounding islands, with a chance to take part in various leisure activities on offer here. We will end our tour back in Phnom Penh with an evening to absorb the energy of Cambodia’s capital.
